New Version of mIRC v7.67

On October 2nd, 2021 a small update was released of version 7.67 of mIRC . This addresses some user-reported issues. The new version includes improvements, changes and fixes to several features, including:
- Fixed SSL certificate verification failure issues fixed, related to expired certificates.
- Updated CA root certificate cacert.pem file.
- OpenSSL library updated to v1.1.1l.
- Updated DigiCert code signing certificate.
- PCRE regex library updated to v8.45.

New version of InspIRCd v3.11.0

The InspIRCd v3.11.0 server is available for download in it's stable version, since August 2021 (pre-release 4.0.0a5 on 21/01/10). Among the various changes are:
- <connectban:bootwait> which allows you to delay the connectban until the specified amount of time has passed after initialization;
- <connectban:splitwait> which allows to delay connectban until the specified amount of time has elapsed after a network netsplit;
- Adding the <gnutls:onrehash>, <mbedtls:onrehash> and <openssl:onrehash> which allow reloading of TLS (SSL) profiles in rehash;
- Added support to ciphersuites TLS 1.3+ configuration in ssl_openssl;
- Changed <oper:autologin> to accept a value of < span class="code"><if-host-match> to allow the autologin to proceed only if the user's hostname matches the value in <oper:host>.
No configuration breaks have been made since v3.0.0, but if you are upgrading from v2, see this list.
New Version of Anope v2.0.10

Anope version 2.0.9 was released on August 9, 2021. Fixes and various changes include:
- Added support for SQLines channels in InspIRCd;
- Change of default protocol module from InspIRCd20 to InspIRCd3;
- Change of character set used by chanstats and IRC2SQL to UTF8mb4;
- Fixed to replace MAXLIST in InspIRCd;
- Fixed not releasing ERROR message in squit;
- Add Account name action in nickserv / info.
New Version of mIRC

It was released on 2021-06-29, the version 7.66 of the oldest IRC client, mIRC. In summary, a new version resolves several problems reported by users, as well as improvements and changes to some features, including:
- Added MDI area background color option to Colors dialog to allow users to change brightness of MDI area.
- Changed the editbox/nickname list line separator color so that it matches current theme.
- Changed /window -h to support hiding status windows in both the switchbar and the treebar.
- Changed channel and query window icons to make them more distinctive.
- Added colors dialog default/undo buttons to allow reset/revert of color settings.

Changes in freenode

On May 19, 2021, the Freenode suffered what some officials described as a "hostile takeover," and at least 14 volunteer employees resigned. After the events, several organizations using Freenode - including Wikimedia, Free Software Foundation Europe, Ubuntu, CentOS, FreeBSD, Gentoo Linux and Arch Linux - switched their channels to Libera Chat, a network created by former Freenode employees. Others, such as Haiku or Alpine Linux, switched to OFTC. Freenode released a official press release on the matter.
New Version of Mediawiki

On May 28th, the new version 1.36.0 of the Mediawiki software was released. For those who don't know, mediawiki is the most used software for creating wikis. Among the most famous wikis that use the software we can mention the Wikipedia. The new version brings new prerequisites for your installation such as PHP internationalization, extension known as Intl, ext-intl or php-intl. The software also announced that it will no longer support version 1.31 (formerly LTS), that version 1.35 will be compatible until September 2023 and version 1.36 will be supported until May 2022. New version of InspIRCd

The software IRC server InspIRCd v3.9.0 is available for download since February 2021. Among the severals changes are Added <chanhistory:enableumode>: allow enabling user mode N (nohistory) which allows users to opt-out of receiving channel history on join. Added extbans to the S2S protocol to allow services to validate bans easier; Added the <shun:allowconnect&>: option to allow configuring whether shuns should only be applied to users who are fully connected to the server. Fixed <class:snomask&> not being parsed correctly when a type has multiple oper classes. No breaking configuration changes have been made since the v3.0.0 release but if you are upgrading from v2 please consult our lista.
New version of Anope

Anope 2.0.9 has been released, which contains:
- Fix a regression from 2.0.8 that prevented serialising to MySQL;
- Send account identifiers to InspIRCd on SASL logins;
- Fix a query bug in irc2sql.
If version 2.0.8 already upgraded be using db_sql or db_sql_live for avoid data loss by loading the db_flatfile backend, rehashing, and then force saving to disk using /msg OperServ UPDATE. Once upgraded to 2.0.9 you can use the import feature of db_sql to reimport your data to the SQL database. See the wiki for more details.
New version of Cloudbot

Version 1.3.0 of the IRC bot, CloudBot, has been available since March 17th, 2020. The bot is also known on Brazilian networks as Tucujú. This bot is programmed in python language and is provided by @linuxdaemon at GitHub. Originally, CloudBot is a bot from the Snoonet network, which brings together various functions and the famous duck game. Not the duck holding the gun, the other duck. lol Kakaka.
